Prague - Change of Guard ceremony

It was our first visit to Prague and we were determined to do all the touristy things - Change of Guard of course being one.
During these ceremonies, or even otherwise, I always look for some expressions on the guard's faces, but never get to see anything but a stoic face and focussed eyes.
I was just wondering if they ever get to cough or sneeze while guarding the posts, and just then one of them did! Pity I couldn't capture it!

Business card anyone?

The perfect background for a business card.
Do you keep business cards with you? Or like me, just exchange e-mail addresses and try to remember them?

Jazz Girl

Finally Zurich gets to see some sunny days. And with it come all the talents and all the busy and bustling places. Usually it is the touristy places at the big cities where you'll see all the magicians and musicians, artists and dancers, all gathering around making it all an interesting walk. The Bellevue lakeside is that place in Zurich.

It was kind of calming to see a young girl sitting all by herself, playing the saxophone - not really looking to make any money, and seemed to be playing the instrument just for herself. I don't know if it was her or her music - but it did have a calming effect on me!

Jazz for u...

Our friend in Santorini

Do you like pets? Have you ever had one?
I have never had any pets, so maybe for that reason, it doesn't seem an appealing idea for me. But there are instances when I think maybe I should have one.
We were running late for our flight from Santorini to Athens, and there was no cab in sight. We decided to walk back to our hotel from Fira to Imerovigli. For some reason, a dog on the way decided to accompany us. And I kid you not, he accompanied us for the entire distance of about 5 kilometers or so! Seriously! Its not that we had offered him some food or patted him or shown any kind of affection..we had done nothing at all! I even checked if I had something with me that it could be after. But no..I had nothing.
It kind of seemed like a protective instinct or something..until we got into the car, the dog was with us.
We were in a hurry, so couldn't really take any pictures of the dog, but there was a lazy cat sleeping somewhere on the streets of Santorini that hubs took a few pictures of earlier that day. Isn't it cuddly?

MBT Shoes

From SipnSnap

Another post on Shoes. Did I say how I love shoes and bags? And dresses. And sunglasses? Oh..how shallow I am!
Anyways, I had been hearing a lot of good things about the MBT shoes. And how they are supposed to improve your posture and are good for the back etc. So hubs and I bought a pair each. They are a bit on the pricey side. Well, it had to be. It is made in Switzerland.
They are not 1 bit stylish - which is why you don't see you girls on the fashionable Bahnhofstrasse wearing them. Pardon my ignorance, but somehow I have only spotted grannies and uncles wearing them. And the person in the MBT showroom! Ha!
Ok I am exaggerating. I have seen a lot of people wear them when they are out walking in the evenings, or a few times on walking tours as well.
I got the DVD as well with the shoes. It details all about the technology, the idea, the benefits of these shoes. Well, only time will tell how good they are.
For now - here is my latest pair.

Breakfast in Santorini

The weather in Zurich hasn't been great lately. After 1 week of bright and sunny days - when we all went out cycling, wore armless tees and shorts, celebrated the onset of spring with a beer or two at the sunniest table at the corner side restaurant - it is back to how it always is. Well, mostly. Rain, rain and yet more rain. No sign of the sun. On days like these a picture of a holiday at a sunny beach can do wonders to your mood.
So the picture of our breakfast in bed on a beautiful morning in Greece did it for us. Our breakfast in Santorini. Enjoy! Wish you a happy spring!
